Lynne Dundon, In Memory

Friend and colleague of the Concierge Society of Atlanta, Lynne Dundon, passed away Wednesday March 11, 2020.

Lynne’s first career was with Stone Mountain Park, as a senior sales manager for many years. After her retirement, she went on to reinvent herself as a successful independent travel agent for cruise planners.

Lynne founded her non-profit organization life is sweet which raises money to buy AEDs for various organizations. She single handily was able to provide AEDs for all of the police cars within stone mountain park. It was an AED that once saved her life after a heart attack. She always spoke of how important CPR and AEDs are, in fact, she went on to be a certified CPR/AED trainer.

In addition, lynne has been involved with art station theater, located within the city of stone mountain, where she has been an active and important fund raiser and promoter of the various event offerings.

Within the CSA, Lynne has been seen for many years assisting with meeting check-in’s, our annual gala and at various educational, charitable giving, community service and social events.

We will truly miss this adorable and sweet lady who always had a smile, a kind word and sometimes a naughty joke!

Lynne recently went on a cruise to Norway to view the northern aurora borealis lights. She spoke about how moved she was by this magical earth exhibition. Perhaps, like the Native American Cree indians believe, the aurora is part of life’s circle and are the spirits of those departed which remain in the sky. That the lights are the spirits of those departed friends and relatives trying to communicate with those left behind on earth.

So whenever you see the blue, green, yellow and purple in the sky, just imagine it is Lynne smiling down telling us indeed………….
Life is sweet!

Rest in peace dear friend!
